I cannot bear that they should think one can do
something for them, if only one would.
I have written to London for a prescription for
Mrs. Hamp's 'breath' to be made up:
also: for one for the Child's bed sores.
also: for a Water pillow
About the silk: please tell your lady that there may be
some little advantage in it: (but we do not use it in
Hospital life) if there were any real advante, a Hospital
could buy up all the old silks in Christendom from the Jews
